How fast can a tortoise eat a squash leaf?

I know I am super busy and should not and do not have time for nonsense but does anyone think they can eat a squash leaf approximately 20 times bigger than your head in less than 4 minutes? Stem and all. Majunni can!

Dad's Cornucopia Table

Dad's cornucopia table is awesome! Handmade completely out of scrap lumber and styrofoam...super sturdy, holds lots of ice. Can't wait to see it loaded up with food!

It's Growing as we speak...

For someone who wants garden to be beautiful on August 8 we sure have had great weather for it...lots of rain and here comes the sun!

Building An Alter

Tonight Paul and I worked together to finish building our ceremony spot. We used wood chips and wood slabs for a path in the garden that is growing sunflowers, cucumbers, zuchinni, acorn squash, watermelon, musk melon, rosemary, fennel, grapes, beans: yellow and green, scarlet runner beans, kale, nusturium and Verbena Bonariensas. Wow, that was more than I thought.

Cafe Tables in the Pol Barn

Wow, again I am impressed with the boys. More scrap lumber built cafe tables around the posts. We are going to cover them in grandma's fabric and call it good!

Par for Patty

We had a blast at the Par for Patty. I golfed with Kari, Mel, Kevin and Tom....GOOD TIMES! Paul's Grandma Virgie golfed too at age 92...Wow! Here she is with our friend Freddie.

World's Messiest Painter

I am the world's sloppiest painter. Never ask me for help painting your house...you will regret it. Luckily though, my dad is a patient painter. It's amazing how the paint doesn't fly any where when he is painting...Anyhow we finished painting the house and Paul's Taxidermy Studio in two days...Hooray!

Dahlia's Yoga

Dahlia has always been a relaxed kitty when it comes to tai massage style yoga...OOOOMMMM. She is pretty comfortable...Kelsey is learning to watch and be like...What in the world?

The Boys Benches

Dad, Joe and Paul made some cool benches while I was away in Chicago for Lindsay's Bachelorette Party. It was nice to come home to.

Kelsey and Dahlia's Pinch Pot Date on the Dock

Dahlia and Kelsey met down on the dock by my pinch pots. Light pawed Dahlia frolicked through the fragile greenware while Kelsey watch amazed that her feline feet didn't break a single piece.

Good Days Work...

We worked hard today because we needed to get a good thing going...and we did. We raked and chipped and water and fed and painted and prepared...and it felt good.

A Good Friday Night

Tonight we had a good evening. We began trellising our grapes and practiced keeping Kelsey from running through the sunflowers to chase Dahlia, who had a very rememberable day.

Dahlia took her first visit to the garden and her first boat ride...don't worry we documented it all with our camera! We also had our first garden meal...besides a few sorrel cilantro spinach salad that I made for lunch a couple days these past few weeks...that was good too. But tonight we had a parmesan pasta with a sauce made from homegrown peas, green onions, rosemary, basil, fennel, spinach and nusturtium. Tasty!

Then we finally went for our first boat ride together...about time!... with Dahlia and Kelsey....Beautiful summer night! We are thankful.

Limoncello

Today I tried to make some Limoncello. We'll see....I used the cheese grater to zest 6 lemons and them poured in a bottle of everclear and vodka 100 proof. Now I will let it sit until the wedding...We'll put in some simple syrup after we strain all of the zest and then we have Limoncello...cheers!

Nice to See the Sun

Finally after a few low days of rain, we saw the sun set. It's nice to see the sun.
